Somerset Wildlife Trust responds to new badger cull licences
The new licenses will allow badgers to be shot and killed over the next four years, despite a lack of evidence that killing badgers reduces the spread of bovine TB in cattle.

Somerset Wildlife Trust is firmly opposed to the badger cull and believes we need to implement a range of preventative measures to bring the disease under control, which includes cattle and badger vaccination, better cattle testing, improved movement control of cattle and enhanced biosecurity on all farms.
