The Polden's Climate Adaptation Plan
Somerset Wildlife Trust’s Act to Adapt process is supporting communities across Somerset to adapt to climate change through a series of collaborative events. Taking the following steps, communities are creating and implementing climate adaptation plans, proactively responding to climate threats in their local area whilst simultaneously building community, supporting local wildlife, and increasing wellbeing. Developing the plan
Funded by Somerset Rivers Authority, communities across the Polden Hills have come together to develop a bespoke Climate Adaptation Plan. Developed through community workshops and consultations led by the adaptation team, the plan reflects the priorities of residents across the Poldens. With strong support from the Polden Environmental Network (PEN) and their current MP, the plan has now been entrusted to the communities, who are set to put its adaptation strategies into action! This is a community-wide effort - every voice and idea has been incredibly valuable.
