About the event

Led by Vanessa Lloyd of the Sea Watch Foundation, this session will start with an introductory training session at Berrow Village Hall. This will include an illustrated talk on the general biology and classification of cetacean species, species identification, conservation issues and recommended survey methodology.

This will be followed  by an optional sea watch survey at Brean Down (1pm-4pm) to put our skills into practice.  The afternoon survey can be attended without taking part in the training (but would need to booked separately - see separate event on the What's On page for details).
