Don't lose that loving feeling, or nature will be gone..gone..gone...

Somerset is a county blessed with a variety of stunning landscapes home to an enormous variety of wildlife.  But our wildlife is in decline and we are losing our wild places and the green corridors that connect them.

We are working to reverse this decline and put nature back into recovery but we cannot do it alone.  We can do much more with the support of those who live and work around in the county. Help us create a county rich in wildlife from just £3.50 a month - we can't do it without people like you!

It has been so therapeutic, during such an unprecedented and worrying time, to watch nature carry on as usual. Flowers blooming and birds singing have lifted my spirits during lockdown and made me so thankful for our natural environment here in Somerset.

During the last few years, more people than ever have marvelled over the wildlife they have seen on their doorstep. We're appreciating nature more, not because it is thriving, but as human activity slowed down and changed, we were paying attention more.  And it's brilliant to see people truly appreciate the value of nature - both for their mental health, and also realising the fact that our entire existence really does depends on the natural world being in good condition.

It's vital that we don't lose this momentum and to ensure that people keep nature in their life as we move towards a new normal. Nature in Somerset, and across the country, will be facing the same challenges it did before in terms of biodiversity decline and a warming climate. Now nature has your attention, we want to remind you that it needs everyone's support to ensure it is there for us all in the future.

If you’re not already a member of Somerset Wildlife Trust, we would really love you to consider it so we can continue our work to protect Somerset's natural environment for everyone. From £3.50 a month, you can join over 20,000 people in the county who already stand up for nature and support our work.

Now is the moment we need support the most, so please don't wait to join - join us today! Perhaps our new video will help you make up your mind!
