Somerset Wildlife Trust is delighted to welcome Habitat Aid Ltd to its corporate membership scheme. Habitat Aid is a Somerset based business founded in 2008, promoting and selling British native trees, hedging, aquatic plants, wildflower seed and heritage fruit trees, which they source from a community of small specialist UK nurseries and growers. Habitat Aid are passionate about selling people the right plants and seeds from the right suppliers to help encourage the restoration of habitats and biodiversity in a healthy and sustainable way.
Nick Mann, Founder of Habitat Aid, explains why he is happy to be supporting the Trust, “We are a Somerset business with strong local links, so although we support a number of national NGOs it made sense for us to sign up as a corporate member of Somerset Wildlife Trust. We're delighted to be able to help the Trust, and membership also helps promote our business too. It's hard to see why anyone wouldn't want to join.”
Kirby Everett, Communications & Corporate Relations Manager comments, “We’re delighted that Habitat Aid have joined as a corporate member of the Trust. As a county, Somerset is made up of a mosaic of varied habitats – each of which support different ecosystems and species in very different ways - and together provide a strong green network across the county. So whether it’s a nature reserve, private land, a back garden, a hedge line, pond or a small meadow – it’s vital that we enrich these places to continue to support healthy wildlife populations – whether that’s pollinators, birds or aquatic species. Organisations such as Habitat Aid that can provide people with a means to do this through the delivery of a variety of high quality native plants and trees really do support out greater cause. We are very grateful for their corporate support.”
