About the event
High on the southern slopes of the Mendip Hills, Draycott Sleights is a wonderful limestone grassland which is home to a variety of special plants and butterflies. An essential part of annual maintenance at Draycott Sleights is the removal of ragwort, due to being poisonous to livestock and invasive if left unchecked.
Come and join us for a day of ragwort pulling and help us to conserve this amazing grassland for years to come!
This session is suitable for those between 15 and 18 years old. We do not expect parents or guardians to attend the session.
There will always be a member of staff or highly trained volunteer and first aider on site.
