Nature and Wellbeing at the Bloomin' Brilliant BioBlitz
Northover, Glastonbury, BA6 9FT
About the event
The SWT Wilder Wellbeing project and Green Wedmore will be available to talk all things nature connections and nature-based wellbeing, with some simple activities you can try on the day.
There will be a wellbeing walk around lunchtime.
We will also have some seeds and biodegradable pots for you to take and enjoy at home.
Also in the Events Space will be other local environmental organisations.
These wellbeing activities do not need to be booked and you are welcome to come and go from the Events Space at your leisure. However, if you would like to join us for one (or more!) of the BioBlitz surveys or docu-film screenings those will need to be booked (see SWT Events page). Please check out the full itinerary for more details. We may be adding to this so do keep checking back!
Or you could just rest or refuel at The Old Tannery!
The event has been organised by Somerset Wildlife Trust with grateful thanks to South West Heritage Trust and Friends of Brides Mound for access to their land for the surveys, and the survey leads, organisations and volunteers who have donated their time and expertise. It is part of the Glastonbury Town Deal, which is funded by the UK Government's Towns Fund scheme, and Somerset Wildlife Trust’s Bogs and Bitterns project, which is funded by the UK Government's Species Survival Fund. The Species Survival Fund was developed by Defra and its Arm's-Length Bodies. It is being delivered by The National Lottery Heritage Fund in partnership with Natural England and the Environment Agency.
