Chat with community organisations at the Bloomin' Brilliant BioBlitz
Northover, Glastonbury, BA6 9FT
About the event
We will be joined by a range of local organisations, including species specialist groups, local regenerative agriculturists, a youth group, local community action groups, and nature and wellbeing project staff.
We will also have some seeds and biodegradable pots for you to take and enjoy at home.
You are welcome to come and go from the Events Space at your leisure, including taking part in the nature and wellbeing and craft activities. However, if you would like to join us for one (or more!) of the BioBlitz surveys or docu-film screenings those will need to be booked (see SWT Events page). Please check out the full itinerary for more details. We may be adding to this so do keep checking back!
Or you could just rest or refuel at The Old Tannery!
The event has been organised by Somerset Wildlife Trust with grateful thanks to South West Heritage Trust and Friends of Brides Mound for access to their land for the surveys, and the survey leads, organisations and volunteers who have donated their time and expertise. It is part of the Glastonbury Town Deal, which is funded by the UK Government's Towns Fund scheme, and Somerset Wildlife Trust’s Bogs and Bitterns project, which is funded by the UK Government's Species Survival Fund. The Species Survival Fund was developed by Defra and its Arm's-Length Bodies. It is being delivered by The National Lottery Heritage Fund in partnership with Natural England and the Environment Agency.
