Green Match Fund 2023 - Coexistence: People and Wildlife Together
We want to see beavers help re-engineer our waterways back to health, pine martens leap across our woodland and eagles grace our skies in a Wilder Somerset.
We have an exceptional (but slightly nerve-wracking!) opportunity to raise £63,000 to help native species return to Somerset by taking part in this year's Big Give Green Match Fund. Even better news is that every £1 you are able to give to our project during the giving week (noon on Thursday 20th April and noon on Thursday 27th April) will be doubled thanks to generous supporters, including the Reed Foundation, who have already pledged £31,500 – half of what we need!
Funds raised will support a Human-wildlife Coexistence Officer, who will work with communities across the county to create positive conversations around returning species such as beavers, pine martens and white-tailed eagles. It’s the first step on the Trust’s journey to exploring this exciting area of its nature recovery work. We want you with us on this journey.
It's one of our biggest match funding challenges yet, but we know with YOUR help we can do it. Please save the date in your calendar and help us achieve our fundraising target.
One donation, double the difference!
For one week ONLY, noon on Thursday 20th April and noon on Thursday 27th April, any donation given online to our Green Match Fund project will be matched. Every £1 will doubled to £2, every £5 to £10, every £50 to £100 and so on. If we're able to raise £31,500 online this will unlock a further £31,500 for us to help some amazing species return to Somerset - for nature and for climate!
Thank you so much for your continued support. We can't do what we do without you.
