About the event

Learn more about how to identify species of lichens and fungi and find out about their habitats and ecology with our experts Graham Boswell (British Lichenology Society) and Patrick Watts-Mabbott (Exmoor National Park). We will be bringing selected specimens back to the community barn to look at under the microscope.

This walk is part of the Minehead Autumn Nature Watch Day

Spaces are limited on the walk so please book via eventbrite using the button above.

As well as the guided walks there will be other fun family activities going on in and around the community barn at Horner Farm from 11am to 4pm, which you don't need to book on, including stalls and information on iNaturalist projects, Pine Martens, Forest Foraging and even some Nature Rapping!!

The guided walk will be unsuitable for people with limited mobility (but there will be plenty going on at the Community Barn for everyone)

What to bring

Please bring clothing and footwear suitable for the weather. The paths can be wet and muddy in places. You will be outside (in the woods) for up to 1.5 hours
