About the event

Come along to Horner Farm (Community Barn) to join in with activities (for all ages) . We can be found in and around the barn alongside the Farm’s Saturday Food Market.

Activities and stalls will include:

  • Foraging Forest Walk with Alison Beaven from Forest Catkins (leaves at 12 noon – approx. 1 hour)
  • Exmoor Pine Marten re-introduction scheme information and activities with Somerset Wildlife Trust’s Lucie Bennett
  • How to use the iNaturalist App to record local wildlife with the West Somerset Wildways project and with ENPA staff (for all ages)
  • Mushrooms under the microscope with Somerset Wildlife Trust’s Mandy Wallington
  • ‘Nature Raps’ on local wildlife by Somerset-based musician  Martin Shiells

Good access to events in and around the community barn. The foraging walk and bookable guided walk will be unsuitable for people with limited mobility. Contact the organiser to discuss options.

Wear suitable clothing and footwear for the weather. If you venture into the woods or down to the river paths may be wet and muddy in places.
