About the event
The Avalon Marshes is an incredibly important wetland area restored from years of peat excavation. Come and spend a few hours walking around Westhay Moor National Nature Reserve with our Visitor Experience Officer to identify some of the resident wildlife, hear about how we manage this special place and the ways we engage with the many human visitors that come here each year.
This session is suitable for those between 16 and 24 years old. We do not expect parents or guardians to attend the session.
There will always be a member of staff or highly trained volunteer and first aider on site. Please be aware that there are no toilets on the reserves.

Dogs
Please note dogs are not allowed on the paths through the reserve, or in any of the hides. Dogs under close control are permitted on the two gravel tracks leading from the road (London Drove and Dagg’s Lane Drove), but please do not allow them to go into the water or undergrowth. Accredited assistance dogs are allowed in all areas.
