Sea Watch July Survey - Steart (River Parrett) "Porpoises and Poetry"
Location:
Steart Marshes, Stert Drove, Bridgwater, Somerset, TA5 2PU
Survey for porpoises, dolphins and seals with optional creative writing and drawing!
About the event
One of a series of two hour surveys for porpoises, dolphins and other marine life being carried out along the Somerset and North Somerset Coast throughout the year. Run in conjunction with Somerset Wildlife Trust’s Somerset Wilder Coast Project, Geckoella and the Sea Watch Foundation.
This survey is part of National Whale and Dolphin Watch Week!
No previous knowledge or training is required as experts and ID guides will be available. A Sea Watch training video is available. It is useful (but not essential) to view this prior to attending your first survey.
Be Creative: We will also encourage you to use the opportunity, whilst sitting in this beautiful spot, to do some poetry, creative writing or even some sketching (entirely optional!).
